Hey there! If you don't read any other of my bridal blog posts, I really, really want you to read this one. There are some things that you absolutely have to make sure you DON'T do to your face in the area of time right before your wedding to ensure that your artist has the best canvas possible.
Please DON'T get a chemical peel!
Please don't do this right before your wedding! Chemical peels can be very beneficial for your skin if you are the right candidate. However, did you know that chemical peels are effective because it helps your skin very rapidly slough off the top layers to reveal newer skin? Combined with a very important makeup application, this is not a good combo. You don't want your skin to be excessively shedding (or worse) right upon the heels of your wedding day. Foundation can have a difficult time adhering to skin that has been freshly peeled. If you've never got one before, you should really not do this before your wedding because you don't know what the side effects can be.
